Manchinbele (ಮನ್ಚಿಂಬೇಳೆ ಆಣೆಕಟ್ಟು) , Big Banyan tree( ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆಲದ ಮರ)

Oct 17 2010 , It had been a month and I haven't been out somewhere and my camera was hungry for some landscapes :) , but suddenly where can one go in Bangalore for landscapes.

My cousin Udaya had already planned to go to a reservoir called Manchinbele , and its just 30-35km from Bangalore and if you are in South Bangalore , Its very easy to go there.
There are 2 places which you can visit on this route.

1. ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆಲದ ಮರ (Big Banyan tree).
2. ಮನ್ಚಿಂಬೇಳೆ ಆಣೆಕಟ್ಟು (Manchinbele Dam)

One has to go towards RV college in Mysore road --> Kengeri --> take right at Rajarajeshwari college , there is a board which indicates the direction of Big Banyan tree. (easy to miss if you are fast).

Once you get inside the cross road , one will experience serene village like ambiance and feeling is just too good, Roads are pretty good :) , So u will enjoy the ride.

We decided to go to Reservoir first, one will get Big Banyan tree on the way , just inquire from there about the reservoir and it should be easy to get. One should get it within 4-5 kms from there.

View is just awesome as one enter the backwaters of Manchibele dam, and I couldn't stop taking out my camera.

First group pic :)

Early morning there were very less people , frankly we were the only people :) , But that was the best part, Only bad thing about this place which I felt was, there are lot of Beer and Alcohol bottles thrown at the shore !! Otherwise this is just a beautiful place to spend your weekend. It surprises many that , within 40 Km you can find such a beauty.

We spent lot of time photographing there , Others went to see Dam near by , As I had seen earlier I preferred to stay here and enjoy some more time with my camera and my bike !! Both are my passions. So I couldn't ask for more :)

On our way back we did a pit stop at Big Banyan tree and it is a nice place to spend 15-30 minutes :) , We ate few Bananas there and head back towards our homes.

Within 4 hours we finished the trip , One of the best ways to start your weekend.
Hope you enjoyed the blog , I would like to finish the blog with a quote which says

"Live to ride , ride to Live"
